an ever-present weight carried through life. The figure in the painting has closed eyes, lost in deep silence, as if suspended between two worlds: the one they live in and the one that still lives within their heart.

The window in the background acts as a portal to the past, with the full moon silently witnessing this emotional journey. Surreal elements, such as the swirling clouds and the miniature houses resting on the shawl, signify that memories never truly leave us; they travel with us as an inseparable part of our being.

The use of Termeh, a fabric rich in Persian tradition, further reinforces this connection to cultural roots. This artwork tells the story of an immigrant who, despite moving forward in life, always feels the warmth of their homeland draped over their shoulders
