The Tachara Place

This photo is of the Tachara Palace in the ancient complex of Persepolis. The Tachara Palace, also known as the Mirror Palace, was built by Darius the Great and was one of the private palaces of the Achaemenid kings. In this image, one can see the remains of the doorways and columns of this palace. Also, at the bottom of the wall, relief carvings of Achaemenid soldiers and officials can be seen. This palace is famous as the "Mirror Palace" due to the use of polished stones that reflected light.
